Welcome to your fifth main match.

Your fifth main match is…

In this match, each player will attempt to purchase nine items at the lowest possible price by taking advantage of the flash sales and price changes in nine different stores in a shopping centre.

At the beginning of Bargain Hunter, each player will claim one of the nine shops listed at the bottom of this post and receive $100. Then, we will publicly announce the starting prices of each players' shop and its supply level, and each player will immediately purchase a product from their shop at the starting price. Then, each player will be informed of 3 facts about their shop; when their price increases, and what it increases to, when their price decreases, and what it decreases to, as well as the time of their flash sale.

Each store will have all of these pieces of information. You will only be informed of the price fluctuations of your own store. Once the information is distributed, the Match will commence and occur over 48 hours. Each player must decide in what order they will visit each store - you may only visit one store each hour, and the Match runs from 9:00am to 4:00pm, with the price fluctuations occurring on the hour. If a player visits a store at 11:00am, and there is a price change at 11:00am, they will purchase the product at the changed price.

Of special note is the supply level and the flash sale. Each store has a supply level, and this represents the number of products that may be comfortably sold each hour. If the number of players attempting to purchase a product exceeds the supply level, the price will increase - by 50% if there is 1 extra person, by 110% if there are 2, by 180% if there are 3, etc. If there are fewer than the supply level, there is no discount.

The flash sale is an event that occurs for every shop. It only lasts for one hour, and it is a 50% price reduction on purchases from that shop at that hour. This reduction is applied after any price increase due to supply level, if applicable.

When each player has decided the order in which they will purchase their goods, we will evaluate this one hour at a time. Once each player has completed all their purchases, the player with the most money left over will be the winner, and advance to Round Six. The player with the least money left over will be the Elimination Candidate. However, if at any point a player has insufficient funds to purchase their product, they will be the Elimination Candidate. We will not evaluate the remaining hours, but after finishing the evaluation of that hour, the player with the most money will be the winner.

The nine shops are:

Protein Bakery, Rotting Greengrocer, Vegetarianism Butchery, Terrestrial Fishmongers, Balding Hairdressers, Spartan Toys, Stone Electronics, Dyscalculia Bank, and Illiteracy Bookshops.
