Hi!
Congratulations to the three of you for making it to the end. To be honest, I just want to get this season over with so I'll TRY and make it quick but I have a tendency to ramble. You've all gotten here in your own ways and I personally think I have a pretty clear way of how you all played this game -- but I'm obviously open to listening to your concerns. I'm not going to try and be salty or bitter at all and I'll try and look at this in an unbiased way.
Let's begin with Jake.
Jake... You're a mess. I just... fail to see how I could possibly consider voting you at this Final Tribal Council. You played messily, you fucked around for 39 days, you coasted your way to the end by virtue of being this borderline unbearably annoying number who people just needed to get by. I'm pretty sure you KNOW this is how you played -- but your justification for all of this is "I played fun because CHAOS!!!" Well, yeah, good job, you WERE a chaotic contestant, but in my humble opinion, this season was about adapting and shifting your game in relation to the theme - the person I felt did this best is actually sitting right next to you at FTC. You played alright pre-merge; I actually think turning the two sides against each other in such a subtle way was pretty fucking genius. Kudos on that one. But, when it came to late pre-merge to the first merge; I just saw you as this whirlwind of havoc who was just not ready to make moves at all. You RANDOMIZED a vote at the final four and got Emily out in such an unfair way. I just find it really disrespectful that you would do something like that to her -- AFTER being close to her game-wise and her being such a big part of you getting here... It just... Absolutely doesn't make sense to me as to why you would do that. It just gives off the impresson that you knew you weren't going to win at the end so you wanted to just ruin someone's game for the sake of it. You're not a winner, sorry.
Elias is next.
Ughhh... Elias, I'm not really sure what to think of you. Strategically, I think you played decently. If you were sitting next to Emily and Jake at this FTC I absolutely would have voted for you unless Emily could convince me she played better. I will admit, you were a pretty strong and constant strategic presence throughout the game but I STILL think you take too much credit for stuff. For example, pushing for the Nic vote at merge. Yeah, it was a logical move for YOU, but from my standpoint it was David who got Aras and Luca to flip on the Spice Hoes. Don't take credit for it because not ONCE did either of them mention you at ALL while explaining to me why they flipped. I just feel like you were kind of ... there? In terms of strategy but I guess you were alright. However, your social game is just, simply put, atrocious. How can I vote for someone who claims to have had a bad social game with the minority (signifying bad jury management) while ALSO having a pretty shit social game with some of YOUR OWN alliance too? There's a reason why me, Aras and Luca wanted to break off into the middle. There's a reason why you were the ONLY member of that alliance to be voted "least trustworthy." You just come across as this person who just needs to speak to people when he NEEDS them. I know you talked a lot with some people yeah, but even people you spoke to reguarly expressed to me that they found you shady. You never made an attempt to connect with me and then when my closest ally leaves it's like "HEY I FEEL SORRY FOR WENDY AND I NEED NUMBERS. IM GOING TO TRY AND REEL THEM IN!" Like yeah you did own up to it but only after I pointed out to you that stuff like this is just evidence of a crappy social game with legit 0 awareness. I'm being harsh I know but I HAVE explained I was very close to voting for you and who knows, you may surprise me.
Lastly, Luca.
Hey Luca - despite what some people might say I do think you deserve to be here. As someone who was on vacation for a week of this game, I know what it is like to not be able to give your all 24/7 just because you wanna enjoy -- and that's okay! Sora won a season I was in when he was away for a week - it happens. You have played a really solid under the radar game in my opinion and I can't help but feel a sense of pride when watching you play - I think you've done a really great job. You lost both me and Aras (granted, that was by your own choice - something I found a little weird as you trusted him) and fought your way here. Your strategic game was pretty decent - perhaps slightly lacking compared to Elias just because you aren't as flashy; but in my eyes you were always that one vote that people needed. Lots of people were trying to get your trust I feel because you just have this social presence which makes you very approachable - something I find very commendable in such a game. You kept level-headed and hid behind Aras (and myself). We were both playing the middle with you and it was us who eventually got the heat for it. You flew so under the radar in this game but I feel you never stoped playing; you constantly liked to check up on me and talk to me which was really nice - something both of the finalists next to you didn't do. I think overall yeah, I don't think you played AMAZING by any means, but sitting next to these two people the strengths of your game are revealed clearly. Even the people who you WEREN'T allied with have told me you were a pleasant person; just not on their side of the numbers. Your game reminds me of mine in Chichen Itza a little; worked the social game aspect while also being low-key strategic and making sure they were an asset during the tribal phase. I think you truly deserve this win for adapting to the many twists in this season and just proving you're an adaptable player who surprised many of us and played skillfully under the radar -- good job!!!
So, I just want you all to tell me one move YOU made FOR YOURSELF and INDEPENDENTLY that benefited you; and also the opposite - an INDEPENDENT move that was a mistake (if you can, tell me how you learned from the mistake!). I showered Luca with a lot of praise and was mostly dismissive of Elias and Jake in this speech but I am definitely open-minded if one of you can really wow me with this response and others. Good luck you guys - thanks for contributing to my 703 Survivor experience in your own ways - it sure was interesting... and remember I do like the three of you as people <3 I just wanna make sure I get my points across as bluntly and clearly as I can!
