Bargain Hunter is the fifth episode of The Genius IV.
Main Match[]
Bargain Hunter: At the start of the match, each player picks one of nine shops, and receives $100. Each shop sells one item, listed publicly at some starting price. The object of the game is to buy every shop's product at the lowest possible price. From 9am to 4pm in in-game time, each store will have a price increase, a price decrease, and a flash sale; by gaining information about these from other players, players can time their visits to shops to pay the least money. However, each shop has a maximum capacity, which, if exceeded, raises the price of the shop's item. The player with the most money left over is the winner, whereas the player with the least money left over becomes the Elimination Candidate.

Death Match[]
Times Tables: This match is played over eight rounds. In each round, the players are provided with a 5x5 grid of integers, and must find strings of three consecutive numbers (vertically, horizontally, or diagonally) that form a valid multiplication equation. For example, if 7, 4, and 28 are in a row on the grid, then 7x4=28 is a valid answer. Players alternate turns every 20 seconds; a correct answer earns one point, whereas an incorrect answer subtracts one point. If a player believes there are no more equations to be found on the grid, they may call "End"; if called correctly, they earn three points, but if incorrect, they lose one point. The player with more points after eight rounds wins.
