The primary twist in Wales occurs during the pre-merge phase of the game. During this time, the tribe winning Tribal Immunity will vote for a member of the losing tribe to have Individual Immunity at Tribal Council, however the results are not revealed until after the losing tribe has voted someone off the island. Tribal results will then reveal the player who had been granted immunity, thus negating any votes towards that person and the person the losing tribe voted to eliminate from the competition.
