Day 21[]
| “ | Wow. Justin, the player I feared most, is gone. On the one hand I'm relieved that I don't have to fear him targeting me anymore, but I'm also kinda disappointed he left before we ever got the chance to be together. I owe him about a million apologies and a million thank yous for past stuff, but as I said before we haven't spoken in months and he'd probably never want to speak to me, I couldn't just randomly message him out of the blue. Playing together would've given us an excuse to talk, but now that possibility is gone. But Justin, if you're reading this after the season is over, PM me.
I guess we're not swapping into four tribes of 3 after all (thank god), and pretty much everyone expects the merge to be next. (Still no explanation for the mystery 4th non-merge tribe on the wiki tho) Obviously the beauty 5 is planning to stick together at the merge, but we need one more to make it a majority. If we lose immunity, Linus goes home. If we win immunity, Sam probably goes home. The Adam boot was 5-3 meaning most likely it was the brains VS the brawns/beauty and one brawn flipped, leaving the other two brawns on the bottom. Obviously Justin wasn't the flipper because he got voted out, and Sam probably wasn't the flipper since 1. He wouldn't have pulled the idol out if he wasn't on the bottom and 2. Sam and Justin voting each other last Tribal matches the way Charlie and Linus voted for each other to save themselves when they were both on the bottom. So basically if that theory is right then both tribes currently have a solid group of 5 with one person on the bottom, and one of either Sam or Linus will make merge while the other goes home thus round. Linus has told me he wants to work with Edessa, but my tribemates *cough*Nicole*cough* have made it SOOOO blatantly obvious he's on the bottom of Edessa, that's just ASKING for him to flip on us at the merge. Luckily I doubt he'd be particularly enthusiastic to work with Chalcedon 2.0 either, considering most of the brawns (if the theory is correct) are on the bottom of that group. As for Sam, if he's on the bottom of Chalcedon 2.0 as it looks like, he'd probably work with Edessa at the merge. I'd guess he's more likely to work with us at the merge than Linus, but Chalcedon 2.0 has to avoid Tribal for him to survive... I'm NOT purposely throwing the challenge to keep Sam around, I'm playing (if the challenge isn't over by the time I get online, that is) to win, since 1. I'm already so bad at live speed challenges that whether I'm throwing or playing to win makes no difference 2. My hypotheses could be completely wrong and I don't wanna look like a massive HvV JT and 3. Going to Tribal sucks. But still, losing this challenge wouldn't be so bad... |

That being said, I didn’t expect Liam’s little outburst at the challenge and it wasn’t cute in the slightest. He added fuel to the fire by not only speaking in the challenge chat and costing us a point, but he has the audacity to kick and scream about it to the hosts even though a good chunk of our loss was on his head. I didn’t really like that, however I do need to think logically somewhat. I don’t trust him all that much since he never told me about the idol despite claiming we were working together, but that temper tantrum makes him an appealing goat in some sense cause it’s bound to happen again. It’s a matter of if I want to lead that sheep to the slaughter or take the sheep in wolf’s clothing to the end and it’s a toss up. | ” |

i have a very tough decision to make this vote is extremely fragile i can either vote liam with augusto nicole and linus or i can tell liam to use the idol and take out linus that way and to be fully honest i trust hannah and liam more than uh "strategic game" augusto and "im just a chill innocent guy" linus let's be real augusto would flip on me at merge 100% if he wanted to or needed to and linus if he doesn't go home this vote he's basically in the middle for the rest of the game it's tough though like maybe keeping linus gives me more leeway but ultimately i would just put myself in the crosshairs and him and drachus would just stomp all over for at least a few votes tbh no matter what i do i'm in a fairly shitty spot |

why did i actually vote linus? it's simple just because augusto and nicole haven't really talked to liam doesn't mean i haven't i value liam and hannah as allies and i do think that both of them see me as a close ally, like the #1 or #2 does linus see me as a #1? who the flying fuck knows i don't think he does though i think he'd try to keep me until a certain point this guy has tremendous social game and tremendous strategic game and he almost survived in a tribe split 5-1 and let's not forget he's amazing in challenges i do think he would have worked with me up to a certain point but he's far too good to take and who knows when the next opportunity to take him out is whereas liam is not good in challenges reliant on me and hannah easy to take and to trust and the vehement nature with which nicole tried to take him out as well as augusto's general distrust indicates that he really doesn't have many people this move also does a couple of things it keeps the tribe relatively united and avoids conflict or lots of blood on our hands it makes it more people for the brains to choose from when they're gonna try and target somebody and finally it avoids a brawn trio which would likely steer the game from both sides |

Votes against look ugly on a wiki chart and 2. Already having votes against me could make me look like an easy target in the future. | “ | On this surface, this vote seems pretty simple; get Linus out since he’s the only non-Beauty. However, it goes much deeper than that which is why it’s such a tough vote! Linus is a major threat in this game and it would be incredibly foolish not to take him out, especially since he could be a major swing vote during the merge along with the other former Brawn members and that’s the space I want to occupy in a merge setting, so getting rid of him would be best. However, if my social skills aren’t the best at merge (which considering there’d be quite a bit of people I haven’t met yet), having someone like Linus to vouch for me and vouch for my “position at the bottom” would be wise as well. Also walking into the merge/swap with 5 former Beauties is DANGEROUS since we’d be huge targets. There are pros and cons to every situation and hopefully the end result is a saving grace in my gameplay. | ” |

| “ | I don’t want to have my hand in everyone’s cookie jar cause soon enough, I’ll be caught red-handed… but my tribemates make it extremely hard when they all come to me for help. Nicole and I haven’t really talked all that much, but we shared a sentiment of leaning towards keeping Linus and we actually solidified an alliance of some sort. Luca and I have been an alliance for quite some time and he is leaning toward keeping Liam. Luca tried to convince Nicole about it and she ain’t having it so both of them seem to be at odds. Then there’s me…. the middle man, the eye of this storm… both of them basically told me to talk to the other person to convince them to vote the other way. I love being people’s social game! I tried the cat and mouse game for a hot minute, but suggested we just hash it out in a group chat…. And both claimed to be “flexible” but that wasn’t the case. As Nicole pointed out, it was essentially my decision that mattered. No pressure! Weighing all my options, I do think going for Linus is my best bet at least this vote (inb4 I’m voted out next). Him being an amazing challenge competitor and his impeccable social and strategic gameplay is just too threatening to keep in the game, quite honestly. | ” |
