He has made his selection. The player joining him in the Death Match is…
Eva.
Without further ado, your death match is…
INDIAN HOLD’EM!
Indian Hold’em is a simple poker game where you will use your own card plus two community cards to form a special hand, and the player with the higher ranked hand wins.
The game will be played with 4 sets of cards ranked from 1 to 10, for a total of 40 cards, placed into a randomly selected order. You will each start the game with 30 chips. Each round, we will reveal two community cards, and both players will also be assigned one individual card. Neither player will be told their own card's value and instead will be told their opponent's card. During each round, both players will pay an ante of 1 chip, and may bet based on the opponent’s hand. The number of chips you may bet is limited only by the number of chips you have.
The rank of a hand is determined by a player’s individual card and both community cards. The highest ranked hand is three-of-a-kind, when both community cards are the same value as a player’s individual card. The second highest is a straight, when all three cards are of consecutive values. The third highest is a pair, when a player’s individual card is the same value as one of the community cards. The lowest is a high card, which is when none of the above criteria have been met. If both players’ hands are of the same rank, the player with the higher value individual card will win.
There are three options for betting: Option 1 is to Call; calling will increase your bet to the same number of chips as your opponent and ends the round. Option 2 is to Raise; raising will allow you to increase the current amount bet, and give your opponent a chance to respond to your bet. Option 3 is to Fold; folding will forfeit all the chips you have bet this round, including the ante, and end the round. However, if you fold with a ranked hand, you will also pay a penalty – 10 chips for folding with a straight or three-of-a-kind, and 5 chips for folding with a pair. Checking and stringing are not allowed. Once betting has ended, both players’ cards will be revealed and the player with the higher ranked hand will take the pot. If both players have the same number, the bet chips will be returned. When one player loses all of his or her chips, the game will end.
As this is a Live Death Match, both participants must negotiate a time for this Death Match to occur.
With that, begin the match!
